【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtoanalyzesoilforalpha-emittinguraniumisotopes.Itcanbeusedtoestablishbaselineuraniumlevelsandtomonitordepositionsfromnuclearfacilities.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofalpha-emittinguraniumisotopesinsoil.Thistestmethoddescribesoneacceptableapproachtothedeterminationofuraniumisotopesinsoil.1.2Thetestmethodisdesignedtoanalyze10gofsoil;however,thesamplesizemaybevariedto50gdependingontheactivitylevel.Thistestmethodmaynotbeabletocompletelydissolveallformsofuraniuminthesoilmatrix.Studieshaveindicatedthattheuseofhydrofluoricacidtodissolvesoilhasresultedinlowervaluesthanresultsusingtotaldissolutionbyfusion.1.3Thelowerlimitofdetectionisdependentoncounttime,samplesize,detector,background,andtraceryield.Thechemicalyieldaveraged78%inasinglelaboratoryevaluation,and66%inaninterlaboratorycollaborativestudy.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.AspecificprecautionarystatementisgiveninSection10.
