【摘要】:ThisSAEStandardcoverstheperformancerequirementsforprotectivecoversforgasolinefueltubing.Theultimateperformanceoftheprotectivecovercanbehighlydependantontheinteractionofthefuellinetubingandprotectivecover.Therefore,itisrecommendedthatspecifictubingandcovercombinationsbetestedasanassemblytoqualifytothisdocument.Thisdocumentisintendedtoprovideguidancetotheengineeronthekeyperformanceparametersforprotectivecoversforgasolinefueltubing.Thisdocumentisdesignedtoallowselectionofpredeterminedperformancelevelsforthesekeyperformanceparameters.Theengineermayselectaspecificationbytheuseofalinecall-outdesignation,whichwilldenotethepertinentcharacteristicsofthecovermaterialand/orthetube/coverassemblyandtheircorrespondingperformancecriteria.Theengineerisnotrequiredtoselecteverycharacteristic,butonlythosedeemedimportanttotheapplication.Characteristicsnotcoveredbythisdocumentanddeemedimportanttotheengineershouldbeaddedusing"Z"suffixes.Thisdocumentmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisdocumentdoesnotaddressthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisdocumenttoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
