【摘要】:Thedocumentapplytotransformers,autotransformers,andmotor-transformersintendedtobeusedinaudio-,radio-,andtelevision-typeappliancesinwhichtheprimarywindingisconnectedacrossthesupplycircuit.TherequirementsinSections4-15,23-26,28,and29alsoapplytotransformersintendedforuseinhigh-frequency,switching-typepowersuppliesinwhichthetransformerprovidesisolationfromthesupplycircuit.Theserequirementsdonotapplytotransformersthatareintendedtotransformonlyaudio,video,andothersignalwaveforms.ThosetransformersarecoveredbytheStandardforIsolatingSignalandFeedbackTransformersforUseinElectronicEquipment,UL1876.Theserequirementsapplytoatransformerormotortransformerthatincludesaseparatecurrent-limitingimpedancesuchasapositivetemperaturecoefficient(PTC)devicecomplyingwiththerequirementsforthermistor-typedevices,oraresistorcomplyingwiththeStandardforFusingResistorsandTemperature-LimitedResistorsforRadio-andTelevision-TypeAppliances,UL1412.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard
